In Night of the living dummy II, Amy's ventriloquist dummy, Dennis, keeps losing his head. So Amy begs her family for a new dummy. That's when her dad finds Slappy the dummy in a local pawnshop. Slappy's kind of ugly, but Amy's having fun practicing her new routine. Then horrible, nasty things start happening because there's something odd about Slappy. In Bride of the living dummy, Slappy the dummy is back with an evil scheme that involves a cute young "doll" he sees in the audience at one of his shows.
